Part I: Fire Building + Keeping

Begin the way our ancestors did, building a wood fire as the sun sinks, each piece placed to create a living sculpture that shifts with tending and glows through the night. An evolving piece, tended for warmth, for atmosphere, for weaving light and shadow in harmony with the circle aligned around it.

The experience flows between earth and sky between the grounded rhythms of people and the boundless expanse above. A space for connection, wonder, and the quiet magic shared together

Part II: Laser Show + Storytime (Weather Permitting)

As the clouds part and the night sky opens, our focus visits the stars. Laser pointer in hand, we remember the constellations, reflecting on mythology from all over Earth into a woven tapestry of story.

Discover major constellations from diverse cultural lenses. See their unique perspectives and where they overlap. Learn basic celestial navigation used by our ancestors to discover Aorearoa.

Part III: Q+A

Open dialogue about the Universe – show goers take turns in the pilot seat as we journey through inner and outer space. Leave knowing the difference between a star and a planet, a satellite and a UFO, a cloud and a galaxy.

Moon chairs, blankets and hot drinks can be provided for additional fee.
